Construction workers spray concrete over steel reinforcing mesh to make a retaining wall in Brown St, Dunedin, using a process known as shotcreting.
Lund Construction Dunedin project manager Anthony Fawcett said special equipment had to be brought to the city from Nelson to carry out the job. The previous wall in City Rise collapsed last year following heavy rain.
The $380,000 repair project began in August this year, and the shotcreting was completed this week.
However, the overall project was not expected to be completed for another two weeks, Mr Fawcett said.
