One person was trapped after a car crashed into a bank on SH1 south of Dunedin, a police spokeswoman says.
Police and ambulance attended the scene of the crash.

The spokeswoman said the car reportedly spun out of control at an off-ramp in the Saddle Hill area and crashed into a bank earlier today.
It was unclear whether the incident was ice-related.
