St Clair School pupils perform a powhiri for Education Minister Hekia Parata, who officially opened the school's $1.8 million redevelopment yesterday.
The two-stage, five-year programme was completed earlier this year.
Stage one consisted of an extensive learning atrium and was completed in 2010, and stage two consisted of four replacement classrooms and redevelopment of two toilet blocks, which was completed recently.
The redevelopment turned the school's traditional design into a modern learning environment.
