Ovation of the Seas' departure delayed

Ovation of the Seas leaving Port Chalmers on Tuesday afternoon.
Ovation of the Seas has been delayed leaving Dunedin.

Cruise ship Ovation of the Seas' sailing time has been delayed.

Port Otago commercial general manager Peter Brown said the ship was due to leave an hour late at 6pm, though it may be later.

The delay was weather related, he said.

High winds that hit Dunedin this morning were waning, but were ''calming down, then gusting up a bit'', Mr Brown said.
