Ticket sales for pop star Pink’s Dunedin show on September 1 next year have sold "extremely well", with only limited tickets  available now.

General sales opened for the Forsyth Barr Stadium show at noon yesterday and a Live Nation spokeswoman said the agency was "thrilled" with  sales. There were a few ticket "packages" left, but  most had sold out.

"We are not in a position to say it’s completely sold out yet."

She was not surprised at the popularity of the  shows given the hugely positive response to Pink’s new album Beautiful Trauma.

Yesterday,  Pink added another Auckland show to her New Zealand tour due to high demand.

The US singer will perform in Auckland on Saturday, September 8, 2018, after a third Auckland concert was announced on Wednesday.

The Auckland shows at Spark Arena are on September 4, 5, 7 and 8. Pink’s Beautiful Trauma New Zealand tour will start  on September 1 next year at Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The spokeswoman could not comment on whether there could be an extra Dunedin show.
