Kaikorai Valley College pupils (clockwise, from front) Bailey Waldron (13), Abby Cockill (13), Shelby Marsden (13), Luke Buswell (12), Samantha Logan (13) and Thomas Burns (13) admire the large number of books which will be sold in tomorrow's Great Kaikorai Valley College Book Sale.

They will be sold to raise funds for the school's new library.

In the spirit of "if we're going to do it, we'll do it right", the staff and pupils decided to run the book sale to raise extra funds for the extra touches not covered by the Government's basic funding for the project.

Most books, DVDs and CDs will be sold for $1 or $2 each, and there will be some collectable items which will cost a bit more.

The sale will be held in the school gymnasium, from 10am to 4pm.
