Police seek information on Mosgiel burglaries

Mosgiel police are urging residents to contact them if they see any suspicious activity, following several burglaries in the township.

Thirteen burglaries have been reported around Mosgiel since March 7 and vehicles have been broken into and damaged. Burglaries included those of residential addresses in Gladstone Rd, and cars and houses in the Lanark St area.

Food, alcohol and electrical items were all targeted.

On Wednesday night, a house in King St was entered by two males.

An elderly man at the address was shaken but unhurt by the incident and the pair made off when they were disturbed. Clutha-Taieri response manager Senior Sergeant Alastair Dickie urged residents to report suspicious activity and ensure their property and vehicles were secure.

Anyone with information should call Dunedin police on (03) 471-4800, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555-111.
