Two men have been arrested over an aggravated robbery in Dunedin on Saturday.
Police say two men tried to assault the victim, at the intersection of High and Hope Sts about 4.30pm.
They made an unsuccessful demand for his wallet but made off with a bag containing shoes and socks.
Police said a second victim was assaulted.
About the same time, one of the men tried to obtain money from people on Hope St.
