Police have released the name of a woman who died after being hit by a vehicle in central Dunedin at the weekend.
She was 78-year-old Margaret Mary Jane Herbert, of Dunedin.
Mrs Herbert was hit by the vehicle in Great King St, near St Andrew St, on Saturday morning.
She died in Dunedin Hospital on Sunday.
An investigation is ongoing.
Police earlier named the woman as Mary Jane Herbert.
