A 27-year-old man will appear in the Dunedin District Court on Friday after police recovered stolen goods.
Senior Sergeant Steve Larking, of Dunedin, said laptops were stolen from two cars parked in Butts Rd in North Dunedin.
The cars were broken into on Thursday and a laptop was taken from each.
Police executed a search warrant at a Dunedin house the next day and recovered stolen property, but not the laptops.
The man has been charged with theft.
