A wanted man was arrested in a house raid in Dunedin in which police used a taser this morning.

Police executed a search warrant at a house in South Rd in Dunedin about 7.30am today.

A police spokeswoman said uniformed police and police dogs attended.

Police stormed the house and a 30-year-old man was arrested.

The dogs were not used but the man may have been tasered by police, she said.

St John spokesman Ian Henderson said an ambulance attended the incident and a man was treated at the scene by St John staff.
