The facility was in lockdown for several hours on Saturday afternoon, after three prisoners assaulted three staff.
Prison director Lyndal Miles said the three staff involved in the incident were assessed by medical staff and one was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
All staff would return to ‘‘work as normal’’ this week, she said.
A police spokeswoman said the police investigation was ongoing and no further information was available.
