Truck with keys in moved

A contractor was given a shock this morning after leaving his keys in his large truck in central Dunedin.

Police said the contractor arrived to Bath St where he had parked his truck to find it gone and contacted police about 6.20am.

After a short search, it was found just around the corner on Moray Pl before 6.30am.

Sergeant Keith Braithwaite said the incident served as a reminder.

"Don't leave vehicles unattended, with keys in them, and unsecure."

People should report any suspicious behaviour to police, he said.
