Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) will not take legal action against Southern District Health Board over its dumping as a home-support provider, it announced this afternoon.

PSO chairman Frazer Barton said the organisation still believed it had been treated unfairly, but it did not want to subject clients to uncertainty.

PSO had previously indicated it would lodge an interim injunction if its last-ditch appeal to the board last Friday was unsuccessful.

The health board has maintained it won't make any changes to the new system for home-care it is implementing from next month. ENDS
