Election signs might no longer be allowed on Church St, Mosgiel, under a recommendation by the Mosgiel Taieri Community Board.
The recommendation came after Dunedin City Council staff sought its opinion on locations for temporary election signs.
Members felt there was no need for signs there.
They agreed the other sites - beside the Caversham Bypass, on Main Rd, Fairfield and Quarry Rd, Puddle Alley and Factory Rd in Mosgiel - should remain.
