A senior manager at Southern District Health Board is leaving.
Operations director Sharon Mason has accepted a senior role at the Hawkes Bay District Health Board, and starts the new job in April.
Patient services director Lexie O'Shea said Ms Mason was an ''absolute asset'' and would be missed.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Ms Mason has been at Southern for three years, and was general manager of the medical division before taking the operations director role in the middle of last year.
