The kissing booth is ready and a pack of Dunedin dogs are prepared with pursed lips.

SPCA Otago spokeswoman Kirsty Thomson said dogs owned by SPCA Otago staff would crew a "kissing booth" at its open day in Opoho tomorrow.

People could take up the offer of "$1 per smooch".

Other activities will include a tour of the facility, animal demonstrations, a treasure hunt and face-painting.

The open day between 10.30am and 2.30pm is part of the organisation’s Help Rescue SPCA Otago  fundraising project to replace dilapidated buildings at the facility in Torridon St.

Entry is by gold coin donation.
