Local and national clothing designers and local retailers showed their latest garments at the Zonta Spring Fashion Show on Saturday.

Show production organiser Victoria Muir said 360 people attended the sold-out show at the Otago Polytechnic.

Among those who took to the catwalk were Emma Diamond and Courtney MacKay , stars of TV3’s The Block, Ms Muir said.

"They were great.

"They were really keen to support the cause and it was nice for the audience having them as a surprise."

The show featured collections from the likes of NOM*d and Mild-Red   and  Dunedin retailers Slick Willy’s, Belle Bird Boutique, Waughs, Hype and H&J Smith, she said.

Proceeds from the night would go to Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust.

It was not yet known how much was raised.
