A fire at a South Dunedin business at he weekend is not believed to be suspicious.

Fire crews were called to the Kings Discounter building at 366 King Edward St about 2.30am yesterday, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said.

They found the building well involved.

No-one was in the building, and crews had extinguished the fire and left by about 4am, he said.

Fire Risk Management Officer John Smalls, who was at the scene yesterday, believed the fire was not suspicious at this stage.
