More recipients from the South have been honoured for their service at an investiture ceremony in Wellington yesterday.

Governor-General Dame Patsy Reddy congratulated Stuart Peterson, of Ranfurly, QSM, for services to the community and Denis Aitken, of Outram, ONZM, for services to the dairy industry and the community.

Marilyn Cassidy, of Clyde, MNZM, was honoured for services to dance, while Fran Rawling, of Dunedin, QSM, was honoured for services to heritage rose preservation.
