Four homes were evacuated last month when the slip was reported to the Earthquake Commission.
Two others were also deemed a risk a week later when the full extent of the slip was revealed.
Dunedin City Council, which issued the dangerous building notices, said there was no further information available at present.
The council said it was up to engineers to determine when it would be safe for the residents to return.
One person remains in emergency accommodation organised by the council.
