Stuck cat saved by firefighters

Dunedin firefighters intervened to save a cat which had been stuck all day on a roof.

Station Officer Jake Wansink, of Roslyn, said one crew attended the callout about 5.30pm yesterday.

A cat at a retirement village in Shetland St escaped a self-contained unit and became trapped on a roof.

Levi was retrieved and returned to his owner.
