Stumbling drunk driver

A Dunedin man will appear in court after stumbling drunkenly towards cops when he was pulled over in the early hours of the morning. Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said officers observed a car driving through the Andersons Bay Rd roundabout at speed at 12.25am yesterday. When they pulled it over, the 41-year-old driver got out and stumbled towards officers, Snr Sgt Bond said. He recorded a breath alcohol level of 687mcg. The man’s licence was suspended and he would appear in court, Snr Sgt Bond said.
