Three pupils in line for trips

The results of the successful Concours Oral event over the weekend have been finalised.

Organised by Alliance Francaise Dunedin, the event was attended by about 150 Otago and Southland high school pupils.

Organiser David Moir said Dunedin pupils Alice Waterman and Hannah Van Dorp went through to the National Concours to compete for two trips to France in January.

Ava Atkinson-Barclay went into a national draw for one of five trips to New Caledonia in December.

Two competitors were ineligible to enter the prize draws because of the amount of time spent in contact with French speakers, he said.
