Two injured after car rolls near Bucklands Crossing

Two people have suffered moderate to serious injuries after the car they were driving crashed and rolled down a bank near Bucklands Crossing this afternoon. 

Police were called to the scene at around 4.50pm, with initial reports indicating two vehicles may have been involved, but that had since been amended.

The crash took place on Ramrock Rd, near the intersection with Mount Watkin Rd.

The patients were freed from the vehicle by Fire and Emergency Services.

Two helicopters were dispatched and the patients were expected to be transported to Dunedin Hospital.
