Two injured in Dunedin collision

Emergency services work to extract a person from a crashed four-wheel-drive vehicle near the intersection of Midland and Otaki Sts yesterday afternoon.

St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said ambulance officers treated one patient at the scene for minor injuries and transported another with moderate injuries to Dunedin Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said they were called to the crash just after 3.30pm.

One person was trapped for a short time and police helped with traffic management, the spokeswoman said.

Those intersections need roundabouts, and i'm not the only one who thinks this...
They can be designed in such a way that long trucks can still get around them.
