A cyclist who might have seen a vehicle hit a 91-year-old pedestrian in Mosgiel is urged to contact police.

The victim is in Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries, including broken and cracked bones, Sergeant Ian Paulin said.

The man was walking across Wickliffe St when he was clipped by a teal Toyota Corolla, driven by a 77-year-old, about 4.30pm, on Thursday, October 16.

The pedestrian has spent several days in intensive care. Anyone with information is urged to contact Constable Hamish Fraser on 489-3534.
