Woman blinded by sun before crash

A 77-year-old woman was taken to Dunedin Hospital by ambulance with minor injuries after the car she was driving crashed through the fence of this Craig Hendry St, Concord, property about 6.45am yesterday.

An occupant of the property said the car ended up in trees, which were planted by the previous home owner after a previous similar incident, to stop any vehicle crashing into the house.

A St John spokesman said the driver of the car was blinded by the sun before crashing through the fence.
