A woman is being taken to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries after a head-on crash in Otago Peninsula this afternoon.
A police spokesman said the two-car crash happened about 3.05pm on Portobello Rd, between Marne St and Doon St, in the Vauxhall area.
One person was unconscious after suffering suspected neck injuries, police said.
A St John spokesman said a woman, who has since regained consciousness, was in a serious condition and being transported to Dunedin Hospital.
Others were assessed at the scene and two other people were seen being taken to Dunedin Hospital by ambulance.
Meanwhile traffic was affected after a three car crash at the intersection between Andersons Bay Rd and Orari St at 2.45pm.
The road was not blocked.
The St John spokesman said one person was transported to Dunedin Hospital in a moderate condition following the crash.
