The women were assessed after they were struck by a vehicle being driven by an elderly woman, Senior Sergeant Brian Benn, of Dunedin, said.
One woman had minor injuries.
The condition of the other woman was not known, although her injuries were not thought to be serious.
The incident happened about 11.45am.
