Seven people have been injured after a serious crash in Waikato.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 27 and Maukoro Landing Rd in Patetonga at 12:05pm today.
Five people were seriously hurt and have been taken to Waikato Hospital.
Two others have moderate injuries.
The highway has been closed between Maungataraata and Tahuna and diversions were in place.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
