Three men armed with a firearm and a knife robbed a Hamilton TAB last night, police say.
The incident happened at the Frankton premises on King Street, just before 10pm.
Cash and personal items were stolen, Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greene said.
"There was a significant level of violence and aggression used by the three offenders, and TAB staff and patrons are being offered support to help deal with the crime and it's aftermath."
Investigators were particularly interested to hear from anyone who might have seen suspicious activity in and around the area at the time, Mr Greene said.
