Arrest over fatal Auckland shooting

Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of another man in Auckland on Saturday.

Counties Manukau Police said they located Bodi McKee, who had been arrested without incident, in Takanini this morning.

Police had wanted to speak to the 23-year-old in relation to the shooting in Manurewa on Saturday.

McKee is now speaking with detectives, with charges pending.

Emergency services were called to a property on Winsford St about 7.15am on Saturday, where they found a 32-year-old man on the driveway with a gunshot wound.

Despite the efforts of paramedics he was declared dead just before 8.30am.
