Two men have been arrested after three dairies in Canterbury were ram-raided and cigarettes were stolen.
Police said since Sunday, three dairies in Hoon Hay, Harewood and Casebrook were ram-raided for cigarettes.
A 27-year-old man was today charged with burglary and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, in relation to the incidents at Harewood and Casebrook, and a 24-year-old man was charged with burglary in relation to an incident in Casebrook today.
They will both appear in Christchurch District Court this afternoon.
Police said they had also seized a stolen vehicle which they believe was used in at least two of the raids.
Investigations into the three incidents were continuing
Police asked anyone who may have been offered cigarettes at a reduced price or witnessed any of the incidents to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
