Boiling beer left two men with dangerous burns in Warkworth this afternoon.
The men - one in his 30s and one in his 40s - were both in a serious condition when they were flown to Middlemore Hospital.
Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust spokeswoman Kerrie Spicer said two helicopters were called to Warkworth to pick up the two men just after 12pm.
The pair had been flown to Middlemore Hospital immediately in one helicopter each, Ms Spicer said.
Middlemore Hospital spokeswoman Lauren Young said the men had since been admitted to the national burn centre and were now in a stable condition.
A WorkSafe NZ spokesman confirmed it has been notified of the incident at 8Wired and was investigating.
