Bug knocks out Telecom broadband

About half of Telecom's broadband customers lost their internet connections this morning.

Telecom said the problem arose during planned maintenance on one of its broadband servers.

It said the issue was quickly identified and resolved by its technicians.

Telecom apologised to customers for the inconvenience.

Customers who were still having trouble connecting were advised to turn their modems off and on again.
