Fears for wellbeing of missing mother and baby

A mother and her 1-year-old baby are missing and police have concerns for their wellbeing.

Counties Manukau police are asking for assistance in locating the whereabouts Victoria Harrison, 23, and her infant daughter Autim Harrison. The pair were last seen on May 19.

Ms Harrison has links to the Counties Manukau and Dargaville areas.

Her immediate family and police have concerns for the pair's wellbeing and are asking for any sightings of the mother and her baby to be reported immediately to police or Child Youth and Family.

Acting Detective Inspector Albie Alexander, head of the Counties Manukau Child Protection Team, appealed to Ms Harrison and her friends and family to contact him, or any member of police to confirm her current whereabouts and more importantly the current safety of Autim.

"There are a lot of family or friends who are concerned enough to be contacting police and all we wish to do is to confirm the wellbeing of Victoria and her child.

"We want to ensure that the appropriate support is in place for both Victoria and Autim and that they are okay," Mr Alexander said.

If anyone has seen Victoria or Autim, or know where they are, please contact Counties Manukau police or the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
