A fugitive on the run from police has been caught today in an armed raid.
Christopher David Roche, also known as Kristian Glanville, was being hunted by police on outstanding arrest warrants, including breaches of extended supervision and failing to comply with his bail conditions.
Police also believed he may have had access to a firearm.
In armed raids on Canterbury properties last week, they came up empty-handed.
But Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) officers, supported by police dogs and handlers, swooped on Roche today.
They surrounded a property in Lyttleton about 11.30am.
By 1pm, they had arrested Roche without incident.
Roche will appear at Christchurch District Court tomorrow on property and firearms related charges, breach of bail and two breaches of extended supervision.
Police investigations are continuing.
