Two men accused of the theft of priceless gallantry awards from the Waiouru Army Museum reappeared in Auckland District Court today.
The duo, aged 39 and 37, were further remanded in custody until Friday for the hearing of legal argument over continued name suppression.
Their case is also expected to be transferred to Wanganui District Court.
They are accused of breaking into the museum in December last year and stealing 96 war medals, including nine Victoria Crosses.
One of the men also faces 42 additional fraud charges unrelated to the medal thefts.
The medals were recovered in February after a $300,000 reward was paid. The medals were returned to the museum yesterday.
