A gang member will appear in court today after a month on the run ended with his discovery under a bed this morning.
The 44-year-old man had failed to appear in court on charges relating to drugs, shoplifting, theft of motor vehicle and breach of court release conditions.
Warrants for his arrest had been issued from the Auckland, Whangarei and Kaikohe courts.
Kawakawa police received information that the man was in their area and this morning found him hiding under a bed at a house in Moerewa.
He would appear in Kaikohe District Court today, police said.
