A young girl was critically injured when she was hit by a vehicle in south Auckland this afternoon.
The 10-year-old was hit near a bend on a road at Pukekawa about 4.20pm, police said.
Diversions were in place around Morrison Road.
The girl was flown by the Westpac rescue helicopter to Auckland's Starship Hospital in a critical condition, St John Ambulance communications shift manager Olive Taylor said.
