Hunter arrested over accidental shooting

Masterton police have arrested a man in relation to the accidental shooting of another man while duck hunting.

The man, 44, will face a charge of careless use of a firearm causing injury when he appears in court at a later date.

The incident occurred north of Masterton on Friday.

The victim remains in a stable but serious condition at Wellington Hospital, police said.
