Kinloch shooting victim named

The victim of the Kinloch shooting has been identified by police as 48-year-old man Scott John Henry.

Police said a post mortem carried out on Henry's body today established he died of a gunshot wound.

Bay of Plenty CIB Detective Senior Sergeant John Wilson said a scene examination of Henry's Whangamata Rd property was continuing.

Police were called to Henry's property at 8.45pm on Thursday to assist ambulance staff with an injured man. At the time Henry's 38-year-old partner was unaccounted for.

Yesterday police said they had found the woman uninjured at a nearby property. Police have extended their sympathies to Henry's family.
