A man has been arrested over a serious assault in Christchurch at the weekend.
A 19-year old man was assaulted in Riccarton at the weekend.
Today he was reported to be in a comfortable condition in Christchurch Hospital and was no longer in intensive care, police said.
An 18-year old Christchurch man was arrested at a Riccarton property last night.
He was charged with injuring with intent to injure and two counts of common assault and would appear in court on Friday, police said.
