Man crushed against house in stable condition

A man pinned between a vehicle and a house on the North Shore this week is expected to be discharged from hospital soon.

The 37-year-old man's van rolled forward after he'd parked it and he tried to jump back inside to stop it.

Senior Sergeant James Bothamley said the man ended up pinned against the wall of a house, half inside the vehicle, and underneath a deck.

Fire crews worked for 30 minutes to free him and he was taken to Auckland Hospital in a serious condition.

An Auckland District Health Board spokesman today said the man was in a stable condition and expected to be discharged from hospital shortly.
