A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in the stomach in West Auckland this afternoon.
Police are currently speaking to people in and around New Lynn,where police and ambulance were called to reports of a stabbing on Seabrooke Ave just after 4pm.
The man suffered a serious wound to the stomach and has been taken to Auckland City Hospital for treatment.
Police cordoned off roads as they searched for the offender, who has since been found hiding in the ceiling cavity of an associate's house on Titirangi Rd.
He has been arrested and taken into custody.
