A kayaker who went missing on a river trip near Rotorua last night has been found along with two colleagues who also became lost while looking for her.
The woman was kayaking with a group from Auckland on the Rangitaiki River, in the Kaingaroa Forrest, when she became separated from her kayak about 9pm yesterday, police said.
The woman climbed up the riverbank and became lost. Two others in the group also went missing after they walked up a bush track to look for her.
Two search and rescue teams from Rotorua were alerted and searched for the trio from midnight until 3am.
Rescuers in a light raft found two of the group, after the search resumed at first light today. The last person was found just after 8am.
