A runner who had been missing in the Tararua Range for two days has this morning been found alive.
Alastair Shelton, 33, had been missing since going for a run about 7am on Saturday morning and failing to meet his family for lunch.
Heavy rain and high winds had hampered rescuers; efforts to search the area yesterday.
A police spokesman confirmed that Mr Shelton had been found safe, with just a minor injury, this morning.
