A motorcyclist has died following a crash on the Brynderwyns, north of Auckland, this morning.
The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, was reported at 7.30am and occurred on the southern side, just short of the summit, police said.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Other motorists were advised to expect delays. The road over the range was down to one lane as police examined and cleared the scene.
