Two motorcyclists have died after a collison with a tanker on State Highway 1.
Two motorcycles and a tanker crashed north of Tokoroa about 2.40pm.
Emergency services are responding to the crash on State Highway One, north of Tokoroa.
SH1 is closed in both directions.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area while diversions were put in place.
